Companion
Alhamdulillah, for the past 10 years, I have been on a journey of studying the Quran in a way that goes beyond simply reading its words, but learning how to sit with it, understand it, and allow it to shape the way I think, feel, and live.
My name is Ayesha Syahira. I am an author, a life coach, and a trainer, but more importantly, I see myself as a full-time student of knowledge. Much of my day is spent learning, reading, and reflecting. I am currently a student at Saut Al Quran and also hold a Diploma in Islamic Studies.
Along this journey, I began to notice something that many of us quietly struggle with. We want to build a relationship with the Quran, but we often feel unsure about how to approach it in a clear, structured, and consistent way. Sometimes we read, but we are not sure what to take from it. Sometimes we attend classes, but we do not know how to organize what we have learned or how to carry it into our daily lives.
At the same time, I also came to realize that the Quran is not something we are meant to experience alone. There is a different kind of barakah when hearts gather around it, when reflections are shared, and when we remind one another of what truly matters.
That is how Companion was created.
This space has been running since 2021, and it continues with renewed intention: to provide a consistent, sincere space where we can return to the Qur’an together, reflect on its meanings, and slowly allow it to transform us from within.
Why Tadabbur matters?
Allah SWT calls us to reflect upon His words, not as a suggestion, but as a question that invites us to examine the state of our own hearts: “Then do they not reflect upon the Qur’an, or are there locks upon [their] hearts?” (Surah Muhammad 47:24)
Tadabbur is not reserved for those who are highly knowledgeable or deeply advanced in their studies. Rather, it is a process of softening the heart, of pausing long enough to allow the Quran to speak to us, and of being honest with ourselves about what needs to change.
Allah also describes those who reflect as people who remember Him in all states and who take the time to think deeply about His creation: “Those who remember Allah while standing, sitting, and lying on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth…” (Surah Ali Imran 3:190-191)
This reflection builds awareness, patience, and clarity, and it nurtures a heart that is constantly connected back to Allah in both ease and difficulty.
What is Companion?
Companion is a Quran study circle where we come together with a shared intention: to learn, reflect, and grow through the Quran.
In this space, I will be guiding the sessions based on what I have learned over the years, but this is not about positioning myself as someone better or more complete. Instead, it is about taking responsibility to share what has been entrusted to me, while continuing to learn alongside all of you.
This intention is rooted in the words of the Prophet ﷺ: “The best of you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.” (Sahih al Bukhari)
Teaching, in this context, is not a claim of superiority, but an amanah, and a reminder that knowledge becomes more meaningful when it is shared with sincerity.
How do we learn in Companion?
One of the common struggles many of us face when studying the Quran is not knowing how to organise our thoughts, what reflections to extract, or how to translate what we learn into something meaningful in our daily lives.
Because of this, Companion is structured around a simple yet practical method that I have been using, known as the 4R Technique:
- Read – Understand the ayat clearly
- Recite – Connect with it through reading and repetition
- Reflect – Sit with the meanings and internalize them
- Relate – Apply it to real-life situations
Additional approach:
- Guided note-taking to organize reflections
- Focus on clarity over perfection
- Encouragement to share what we learn, even in small ways
What are we building together?
- Spirituality - We meet at 5 AM to prioritize the Quran at the start of the day and build discipline and consistency rooted in faith
- Sisterhood - A circle of women with shared intentions, a safe, non-judgmental environment
- Support System - Encouragement during both strong and difficult days and a space to stay consistent, not just motivated
Who is this for?
- Sisters who want a consistent relationship with the Quran
- Those who feel lost or unclear when studying alone.
- Those seeking a sincere and safe learning space
- Those ready to grow, even if slowly
Your commitment
- RM55/month
This is more than just a financial commitment; what truly matters is the willingness to show up consistently and to engage with the Quran with sincerity. Because ultimately, the value of this journey is not measured by what we pay, but by how present we are in the process.
What will you receive?
- 12 live online sessions every month
- Full access to session recordings
- Telegram support group for reminders and reflections
- 4R Quran Workbook (PDF)
- A circle of sisters growing together
Companion is not about becoming the most knowledgeable person in the room, but about becoming someone who is willing to return to the Quran again and again, even on the days when it feels difficult.
It is about creating a space where hearts can soften, where understanding can grow, and where we can slowly align our lives with Allah's guidance.
If you have been searching for a place to begin, or even to begin again, then this may be your space to do so, together.
P/S: For those joining from outside Malaysia, the monthly payment will be done manually. A gentle reminder will be sent to you on the 5th of every month to guide you with the payment.
